Velma Parker
May 11, 1930 — November 1, 2016
Ocala - Velma B. Parker born in Williston, FL on May 11, 1930 entered into eternal rest
on All Saints Day, November 1, 2016. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister, and foster mother to many children in her lifetime. Her mission was to help anyone in
need with whatever she could provide. There are so many in this community that have been touched
by her love, grace, and humility.
She is survived by her children, Timothy A. Parker (Virginia) and Amy L. Shawley (Thomas). Her
grandchildren: Zeak Parker, Jacob Parker and Samuel Parker (Micanopy, FL) Morgan Parker and
Roman Shawley (Ocala, FL), Shawna Risley (Titusville, FL) and Cody Parker (Ocala, FL), Joseph
Gonzales and Mario Gonzales (Denver, CO), and Melissa Pearson (Alpharetta, GA),
She had six great-grandchildren and many foster children in her life.
In lieu of flowers, mom requested donations to made to ARC Marion 2800 SE Maricamp Road
Ocala, FL 34471 or anonymously to someone in need because that's how mom lived her life!
