Virginia Rose Bower

Virginia Rose Bower, 77 died on August 14, 2013 at Legacy House in Ocala. Born in Naugatuck, CT on July 15, 1936 to Joseph and Rose Pereira, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Virginia was a Registered Nurse graduating from Waterbury Hospital in CT and continued her nursing career after moving to Hollywood, Florida in 1958 and then onto Dunnellon in 1978.

Mrs. Bower was the loving wife of 55 years to her husband George J. Bower. Together they raised their 3 surviving children; sons Clifford George Bower of Hollywood, FL, and Steven Joseph Bower of Citrus Springs, FL and a daughter Shiela Rose Lee of Newberry, FL. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Shaw, Erik, Olivia, Clint, Zack and Bailey.

Services will take place at Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon Chapel, on Monday, August 19 with visitation from 10 to 11 AM and service to follow with Father Kevin MacGabhann, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating.
