Veteran Walter Henry Grimes of Dunnellon, FL, passed away at 92 years old, on Monday, April 4th, 2016.
Born on February 1st, 1924, in Malden, Middlesex, MA, he moved to Dunnellon, FL with his wife Elvera, from Pembroke Pines, FL. He was the son of Walter Henry Grimes & Harriet Margaret Barker, of Malden, MA. He was the husband of Elvera D. Larsen of Dunnellon, FL. He was the brother of Daniel Grimes, of Middleton, MA. He will be deeply missed by his children, Walter C. Grimes of Columbia, TN, Karen D. Andreu
and Karl E. Grimes, both of Dunnellon, FL, and by many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
He will be laid to rest, with his wife's ashes by his side, at Florida National Cemetery,
6502 S.W. 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513, on Wednesday, April 13th, 2016,
at 10:00 am. A celebration of his life will be held outdoors at Rainbow Springs State Park, 19158 S.W. 81 Place Rd, Dunnellon, FL 34432, following the memorial service.
