Walter L Howell

Dunnellon- It is with great sadness that we announce Walter L. Howell, 86, died on April 7, 2014 in Crystal River, FL. He was born into this life on November 26, 1927 in St. Petersburg, FL to the late Rufus and Margaret Howell.
He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII.  Walter moved to the Dunnellon area around 1982 from St. Petersburg, FL after retiring the utilities department. He was a member of the Riverland Baptist Church in Dunnellon and in his spare time he enjoyed growing orchids, fishing and gardening.
A very soft spoken simple man who truly loved his family and mostly his Personal Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ will be dearly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Howell, Dunnellon; his children, Willis Howell (Bette), Citrus Springs, Larry Howell, (Susan), St. Petersburg and Kathy Slater (William), Dunnellon; his grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan Howell, Loretta and Amanda Gwaltney and great grandchild, Madison.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with Pastor Peter from Riverland Baptist Church officiating.
