Wanda Whittaker

Wanda M. Whittaker, age 66, of Citrus Springs, passed away on July 13, 2011. Formerly of Radford, VA she was the daughter of Stella and Rollie Moore. She came to Florida in 1998 from Gloucester, VA.  Her hobbies were reading books, traveling, crosswords puzzles and family get togethers. She was a wonderful mother, fantastic cook, kept an immaculate house and always had a smile on her face.  She was a person that truly loved life and she lived that every day. People who knew her said she lit up the room wherever she was. She will be missed by many. She was a past senior regent Woman of the Moose, member of American Legion auxiliary and VFW auxiliary.  She is the loving wife of 50 years to Wayne Whittaker; mother of Tony of Ft Lauderdale, Terry of Hernando, and Lori  Whittaker of Newport News, VA.; sister of Dorothy Miller of Blacksburg, VA and Sue Smith of Salem VA.; and Jake her beloved companion. She is preceded in death by her mother Stella Moore and father Rollie Moore, Sister Mary Otey and brother Howard Moore.  Friends will be received Friday 4:00 -7:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Home 1993 E. Pennsylvania Ave. Dunnellon, FL with services Saturday 4:00 PM. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery Monday at 2:00 PM. Donation may be made to the Citrus County Hospice.
