Mr. William H. Dantzscher, 88, of Dunnellon, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie V. Dantzscher, sons John Dantzscher and Mark Trevissono, his wife of 43 years, Barbara (nee Bonar) Dantzscher, his former wife Rita Dantzscher, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne, daughters Candace and Victoria, and his son William Anthony.
Mr. Dantzscher led a colorful life beginning with joining the Navy at the age of 16 during WWII. He raced cars (midgets), was a commercial hard hat diver in the South Pacific, owned a travel agency and was a member of the travel organization SKOL, traveled all over the world, playing golf whenever possible. His last business venture was as founder and manufacturer of Billy Baits Lures, used for ocean fishing along the entire East Coast. He lived in California, Michigan, Hawaii, 13 years in the Florida Keys, and moved to Dunnellon, FL in 2002.
