Rainbow Springs- US Army Veteran, William MacLeod, 81, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born into this life on April 21, 1933 in Rockland, MA to the late Roderick and Loretta Maude (Kemp) MacLeod.
He grew up in Massachusetts and was retired with Proctor and Gamble. William and his late wife Marguerite moved to Dunnellon in 1992 from Hanover, MA. He was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a member of the Kiwanis Club. William enjoyed camping, traveling but most importantly his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite MacLeod and his brother, Jack MacLeod.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Daniel MacLeod (Sherry), Fredericksburg, VA, James MacLeod(Terry), Milton, MA, Michael MacLeod(Diane), Palm City, FL, Ken MacLeod(Stacey), West Palm Beach, FL and Loretta Brandon(Elvis), Old Hickory, TN; his sister, Doris Nolan, Camden, ME and his thirteen grandchildren. “We Love You and We Will Miss You until We Meet Again “.
William’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM with a wake service starting at 7:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
