William M. “Bill” Sellars was born in Recovery, GA on September 25, 1923. He passed away July 19, 2014 in Ocala, FL at the age of 90. The family settled in Faceville, GA, where Bill and his two younger twin sisters, Mary Nell Vaughn and Sarah Frances Marshall (both deceased), grew up. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in The Pacific during WWII. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry at the University of GA, Bill took a job as a salesman with Ralston Purina Company and married Barbara Julienne Thompson of Avondale Estates, GA. With Barbara’s help and support, Bill worked his way up the corporate ladder. They had three children, Susan Jaeger, William McLauchlin Sellars, Jr. (Chip), and John Tompson Sellars. Bill is also survived by four grandchildren, Alicia Corbitt, Rachel Sellars, Naomi Sellars, and Billy Sellars, and one great grandchild, Matthew Bradford Corbitt, III.
