William S. Simmons, Sr.

William S. Simmons, 65, died unexpectedly  on August 2, 2025 at his residence in Hernando, FL. He was born on February 5, 1960 and was the son to the late Walter and Ruth (Gross) Simmons. Having being born and raised in West Virginia, William moved to Hernando, Florida  in 1984. He worked for Damron’s in Crystal River, which is now called LKQ. While working for Damron’s he got into landscaping and pursued that career path and enjoyed what he did.  William loved to work on old cars, attend car shows and loved to

watch wrestling. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Bright; his brother, Phil Simmons.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son William S. Simmons, II; his daughters, Melanie Simmons and Barbara Jewell; his brothers, Timmy Simmons, Dale Simmons, Larry Simmons, Bob Simmons, Brad Smallwood and Greg Smallwood; his sisters, Drema Justus, Sherry Stout, Pam Schofield, and  Becky Stout; his one granddaughter, Lacey Anna Jewell.
