Albert "Al" J. DiMatteo

Albert “Al” DiMatteo, 91, died on October 7, 2023  in Ocala, FL. He was born into this life on May 29, 1932 in Boston, MA and was the son to the late Herbert and Lucy (Devito) DiMatteo. In 2005, Al moved to Dunnellon from Metamora, MI  after retiring from Chrysler and to be in a warmer climate. He was a veteran with the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Wall Rives Post 58 in Dunnellon. Al is a baptized Roman Catholic who worshiped at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dunnellon and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lapeer, MI. In his liesure time, Al enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

Al is preceded in death by his son, Michael; his brothers, Paul and Richard; his sisters, Phyllis, Mary and Rita.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of sixty seven years, Mary DiMatteo, Dunnellon, FL ; his son, Mark DiMatteo, (Cindy) Lake Orion, MI ; his daughters, Deborah Kowalczyk (Joseph), Lapeer, MI,  Donna Yowell (Gordon), Moorehead City, NC, Diane Reagan (Joseph), Orion, MI; his grandchildren, Nicole, Giovanni, Alberto, Kristin, Jaime, Luke, Matt, Kara  and his ten great-grandchildren

A memorial will be held at a later date at White Chapel in Troy, Michigan.
