Alfred Gordon Wilson, born February 14, 1950, in Lakeview, Michigan passed away on November 12th, 2023 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. His loving wife Lynn, was at his side. Al earned his Bachelors degree from Michigan State University and a Masters degree from Vanderbilt University. Before eventually retiring to Florida, he lived in the Middle Tennessee area where he enjoyed a successful career working as a mechanical engineer in the custom metal fabrication industry.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn (Richards) Wilson, step-sons Jason (Amanda) LaForte of Nashville, TN, John (Julie) LaForte of Santa Rosa, FL and Jim (Dawn) LaForte of Murfreesboro, TN, step-grandchildren Taylor, Halle, Joanna, Maggie, and Max. Al served in the National Guard and was always willing to help anyone in need.
