Allen Augustus Hartwell

It is with great sadness that the family of Allen A. Hartwell announce his passing on Thursday April12, 2018 at his residence in Ocala, Florida at the age of 80 years. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on February1,1938 to Henry E. Hartwell and Mary (Sinclair) Hartwell and was the youngest of six children. He moved from Wayland, Massachusetts to Burbank, Florida where he grew up. He attended and graduated at Anthony High School in 1958. He then moved to Ocala, Florida. He was retired from  E-One. Allen was predeceased by wife Patricia Ann Hartwell; and is lovingly remembered by  his daughters Victoria Poole (David) of Ocala; Angela Barker (Jon) of Clearwater; and his step-son Peter Close, Jr. (Waylene) of Ocala.  Allen will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren David A. (Alexandria) Poole; Crystal Poole (Clark) Roland; and Joshua Barker; and five great-grandchildren Hayden, Caliper, Davalen, Kyndle, and Merrick. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends. Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 20 at 2:00PM at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens 5050 SW 20th St., Ocala, Florida. Prior to the service there will be a family viewing at 11:00 AM at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Dunnellon, Florida.
