Angus Standridge Obituary

Angus Nelson Standridge, a loving, protective, talented, and witty son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend to many, unexpectedly passed away on July 29, 2021.  He was 21 years old.  Angus was preceded in death by his Mother Michelle Blauser Standridge.  He is survived by his father, Craig Standridge, his Adoptive Mother, Jennifer Dye Standridge, his siblings Savanna, Flynt, and Seth, his niece Hallie Harden, and his grandparents Jim and Linda Williams, Margaret Standridge, Susie Blauser, and Bill and Bobbie Dye.

Angus was born on March 10, 2000, in Ocala, Florida, to the late Michelle Blauser Standridge and Craig Standridge.  He grew up in Morriston, Florida, and after the passing of his Mother he moved to Keystone Heights.  When his father remarried, Angus was later adopted by his “earthly” Mother, Jennifer Dye Standridge, and he was also blessed with two additional siblings and an even larger extended family that he loved becoming a part of.

When Angus was just 12 years old, he became suddenly and critically ill following a viral disease.  He was placed on life support and spent months in the ICU awaiting his miracle – a heart transplant.  By the Grace of God, Angus received his miracle, and all of his family and friends were blessed with over 8 wonderful years to watch him grow and thrive and become the outstanding young man he was intended to be.

Angus cherished his time with his family, and he was always surrounded by love, support, and laughter (and he was usually the one making everyone laugh).  Angus also lived his life to the fullest, and he never let his heart condition hold him back from pursuing his dreams.  Angus selflessly shared his “Make-a-Wish” with his parents and siblings, and they spent a fun-filled week in Maui, HI creating memories that will forever be cherished.  He was attending the Cyber Security Program at the University of Central Florida and was looking forward to completing his education and working in the computer industry.

The entire Standridge family is finding comfort in the fact that their beloved Angus passed away peacefully in his sleep.  He is once again united with his Mother in Heaven, and while it is painful for those left behind, Angus has no more worries, fear, or pain.  He is in the eternal comfort of his loved ones that passed before him, and in the presence of his Heavenly Father.

And Jesus said unto him, verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise”.  Luke 23:43 KJV
