Arthur Miller Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arthur Thomas Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a pillar of the community. Arthur departed this world on February 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.

Arthur was born on April 12, 1943 to parents, Arthur E. Miller and Sarah M. Newhouse.  He graduated from Winterpark High school in Winterpark, FL where he met his future wife. On October 30, 1964, he married the love of his life, Alice. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and shared adventures. Arthur and Alice were inseparable, facing life's challenges hand in hand, until Alice's passing.

Arthur is survived by his four loving children, Chris, Kelly, Patrick, and Debby, who were a source of pride and joy throughout his life. His legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye.

Arthur's commitment to service was evident in his military career. He served in the Army and reserves as a young man, where he developed a love of airplanes. His passion for aviation extended to his involvement in the model aviation club, and the esteemed One Wing Low Squadron (OWLS), where he found camaraderie and shared his love for flying.

Beyond his military service, Arthur dedicated himself to various community roles. He served as a softball coach for many years, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among young athletes. Arthur also took on the role of a dedicated Boy Scouts leader, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those he mentored.

An active member of the Air Heads-BMW motorcycle club, Arthur found joy in the open road, exploring new destinations and creating lasting memories. His enthusiasm for cars was contagious, evident in his participation in car rallies and shows. Arthur and Alice shared the thrill of joy-riding, creating countless memories that will be cherished by those who knew them.

In his 48-year career at Bellsouth, Arthur demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication. His hard work and leadership were instrumental in shaping the telecommunications industry.

Arthur's faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was a proud Christian, finding solace and strength in his beliefs.

As we say our goodbyes to Arthur, we remember a man who lived life with zeal, spreading love and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and indomitable spirit.

May Arthur Thomas Miller rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved wife, Alice, in a place where joy knows no bounds, and love knows no end.

Art’s family will host a memorial service on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at Rainbow Lakes Estates Community Center: 4030 SW Deepwater Ct., Dunnellon Florida.
