Betty J. Rallens
June 19, 1935 ~ January 21, 2024 (age 88) 88 Years Old
Dunnellon, FL and formerly of Grand Island, NE- Betty J. Rallens, 88, died on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Life Care Center in Lecanto, FL. She was born into this life on June 19, 1935 in Schneider, Nebraska and was the daughter to the late Joseph L. and Libbie R. (Chramosta) Benisek. Betty grew up in Ravenna, moved to Grand Island, with her husband Gene Rallens, where she retired from Wells Fargo as a Banker. She was a parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island. Her faith led her to be an advocate of the Divine Mercy. She learned the Chaplet and taught it wherever she went. In the secular realm, Betty enjoyed sewing, music, and playing the piano and accordion. To add to her artistic side, Betty created many paintings in the style of Bob Ross’ nature themes. In 2014, she decided to move to Dunnellon to be closer to her son, David. While living in Dunnellon, she worshiped at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her son, David and his wife, Michelle. We Love you Mom, and we will miss you until we meet again at home with Jesus.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Rallens, daughter, Gail Rallens and her brother, Ron Benisek.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, David Rallens and his wife Michelle Rallens, Dunnellon, FL; her daughter, Pamela Pless and husband Pepper Pless; her grandchildren, Victoria Booth and husband Will Booth, Kailee Radcliff, and D.J. Radcliff, and her great granddaughter, Nora Booth.
In request from Betty’s wishes, a Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:30 AM inside of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church followed by a light repast in the Fellowship Hall across from the church. Betty’s interment will be held at a later date inside of the Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island, Nebraska.
