Carolyn Emily (Nodini) Hess

Carolyn Emily (Nodini) Hess, 86, passed away on June 28, 2021, at Hampton Manor Assisted Living in Belleview.  She was born April 12, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, as an only child to John and Mary Nodini.

Carolyn graduated from Fort Hamilton High School, Class of 1952.  Following graduation, she attended Browne’s Business School and earned a certificate in the field of Stenography.  Carolyn later became a teacher of Stenography at Browne’s.  She went on to enjoy a career as an Administrative Secretary, including for Trans World Airlines.

While working at Trans World Airlines, Carolyn met her late husband, Robert Hess.  They married in 1971 and celebrated 46 years of marriage prior to his passing.  Together they enjoyed entertaining, travel, and spending time on the water.

Surviving is her stepdaughter, Laura Villardi and husband Tony, stepson, Eric Hess and Margaret, and stepdaughter, Heidi Bohannon and husband Tony.  In addition to her stepchildren, surviving is eight step grandchildren; Jessica Younce, Rachel Stenson, AJ DeCamp, Patrick DeCamp, Cooper DeCamp, Samantha Bohannon, Houston Bohannon, and Christian Hess, along with ten step great-grandchildren; Jordan, Jeremy, Austin, Landen, Kaylin, Makenzie, Austin, Conner, Isabelle, Henry and one step great great-granddaughter, Aubrey Rose.

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 11 am-1 pm at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon, FL.  Funeral service will follow visitation at 1 pm.  Carolyn will be buried with her late husband, Robert in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
