Carolyn Gardner Williams 92, of Dunnellon FL Passed away, holding her son Mike’s hand quietly and peacefully on January 14, 2023 at 12:19 PM.
Being born and raised in Eureka Utah, she will "always be from Eureka", even after living most her life in Boise ID. Carol was married to Bruce Littrell, had their son Bruce (aka Mike), and later divorced. She then married Willard Williams of Pocatello ID. Together with Willard's son David, the four of them were content.
Born in 1930 into a large family in Eureka of parents Samuel Steele Gardner and Annabelle Kite Gardner, Carol was one of ten daughters and four sons. She worked in the restaurant business most of her life as a waitress, hostess, cashier, and manager, with a brief time spent as a guard for the Pinkerton Co., and received her license as a Nail Technician in the state of California, but when asked, she would always say that her best achievement was raising her son Mike. Carol was a loving, uplifting person with a witty sense of humor. She was a hardworking, honest woman that would do anything for a person, but was also a scrapper and would never back down from a just cause. She was a good dancer and she was told that she missed her calling as an interior decorator when people would visit her home. Willard passed in 2005, and she is survived by sons David and Mike, Mike's wife Lyn, Grandchildren: Joshua, Curtis, Jeremy, Jamie, Daniel, and Kyle. Great grandchildren; Owen, Adrianna, Morgan, Ayden, Aiden, & newest arrival Kaleb. She is survived by her sister Margorie Witt of Coeur d' Alene, ID., and brother Jack Gardner of Ritzville, WA.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Steel Gardner and Annabelle Kite Gardner, ex-husband Willard, Gardner sisters; Margaret Sitek, Wilma Suchannek, Ruth Haigh, Virginia Dumont, Ann Frahm, Karen Stout, Viola Frost, Mildred Espinoza, brother Samuel Gardner Jr., two infant brothers Charles and Richard Gardner, and grandchild Travis Littrell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on February 4, 2023, at The Garden Worship Center, 12740 SE County Highway 484, Belleview, FL 34420.
