Georgiana R. Law of Ocala, FL, at the age of 80, entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus and her heavenly reward on October 18, 2023 at Cates House Hospice in Ocala. Georgia was born October 10, 1943 in Fayetteville, NC, to Vernon Royal and Grace Bain Royal who preceded her in death.
Georgia is survived by her son John Dailey; one brother, Bill Royal (Faye) of Orlando, FL and two sisters, Virginia McGranahan (Dick) of Brazil, IN and Sudie Rutherford of Raeford, NC; and lots of nieces and nephews. She was especially fond of her grandnephews, River and Ramsey.
Georgia was happily married to Joseph P. Law who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her son Gary, her sisters Doris, Ann and Joye, and brothers Franklin, Kenneth and Percy.
Georgia had a heart for children, especially those with disabilities. In 1977, she was instrumental in creating Shelter Homes Ministry of Pinellas County, ministering to special needs children – and working closely with the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services area churches and civic organizations to provide outings and fellowship for children placed in shelter homes.
In 1977, Georgia’s work was carried over to reaching youth in the Juvenile Detention Center with Bible studies, testimonies and providing Christian literature, and encouraging youth to participate in local churches.
Georgia was also a florist. She owned and operated a flower shop in Largo FL - Flowers by Georgia.
Georgia and her husband Joe were active golfers while they lived in Spruce Creek Preserve, Dunnellon.
Georgia was a member of First Methodist Church of Dunnellon and an active supporter of Youth and Missions programs.
A memorial service for Georgia will be conducted by Pastor Eddie Fulford, Sunday, November 12 at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church of Dunnellon.
