John Robert Peets, Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of John Robert Peets, Jr. must inform everyone that John passed away on Dec 8th 2020 due to an unexpected illness.

John was born on Sept 17th 1990 in Lakeland, Fl. He moved with his family to Dunnellon in 2003. He attended Dunnellon Elementary and went on to graduate from Hillcrest High School in Ocala, Fl.

John loved sports and participated in soccer, baseball and dressage. His particular love was his love for horses at the Marion Therapeutic Riding Association in Belleview, FL and he brought home many medals.

At the time of his death he was attending Key Training Center. He enjoyed all of his activities, but most of all, he loved the companionship of his peers.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Peets, Sr. and grandfather Robert Milam. Survivors include his mother, Robin Peets, grandmother Juanita Milam, grandparents, Leonard and Sue Peets, sister and brother in law Shanda and Keith Cairns, brother Noel Tullis, stepfather John Tullis and Family, step grandparents Stuart and Jean Tullis, step aunt and uncle Carrie and Eric Cuthbert, uncles Bob and David Milam, aunt Jenny Milam and daughter Skye and half-sister Rachel Goldenburg. Keith's parents, Mike and Carolyn Cairns, were loving care givers to John.

John was extremely social and had dozens of friends, but due to covid there will be a small family service with a Celebration of Life ceremony planned for the fall.
