James “Larry” Jinright, 78, of Dunnellon, passed away at home Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
Larry was born in Prattville, Alabama to Wiley Jinright & Virginia Jinright Birch.
Larry moved to Dunnellon as a child. He LOVED playing Football, Track, Baseball & Basketball. But Football is where he excelled, playing all 4 years for Dunnellon High School. He went on to play for Tennessee Tech until he was drafted into the Army. Larry served his country as a Military Policeman, stationed in Korea.
His favorite thing to do was spend time with Angel, his Great Pyrenees and Jean Ann, when I was home.
Larry is survived by his girlfriend, Jean Ann and her girls, Violet Michelle Naker (David), Samantha Ripple & Trinity Jean Tatlock, and his brother Ed Jinright (Glynda). He was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Jinright.
Larry is now rejoicing in Heaven with our 4 legged babies and Momma. Those were the last words he spoke, Reaching for her, Momma”.
Memorial services for Larry Jinright will be held at noon Friday, September 8, 2023, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon. Military honors will follow at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Memorial contributions to honor Larry’s name can be given to any Dog or Cat rescue.
