Lewis Marshall Barnes

Lewis M. Barnes, 85, died on January 1, 2020 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. Lewis was the son to the late Lewis E. Barnes and Dorothy Mae (Laurence) Barnes.

In 2007 Lewis moved to Crystal River, FL. He was a US Navy Veteran who served from 1953 until 1958. In his spare time he enjoyed birdwatching. He will be  dearly missed by all his family and friends.

Lewis is preceded in death by his son, Frank Barnes and his daughter, Cecilia Monte.

He leaves behind his wife, Joann Barnes; his sons, Lewis Barnes and Daniel Barnes both of Inglis, FL; his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

 Rendering of military honors will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:30 AM in the committal shelter  at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
