Richard Allan Hertz, Jr.

Richard Allan Hertz, Jr, 65, died October 19th, 2022, in Ocala, FL.

 Rich was born on June 29th, 1957.  He grew up in West Milford, New Jersey and moved to Ocala, Florida in the 80’s. He soon became a Buccaneer’s fan for life! He loved watching football but especially his Bucs and the Gators.  During the off seasons, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends in his backyard paradise with music, swimming, bocce ball and lots of fun and laughter. Everyone was welcome and you always left with a smile on your face!

 Rich is survived by his sons, Michael (Casey) Hertz, Ocala, FL, Michael (Sandy) Silardi Dunnellon, FL, Scott Silardi – Detroit, MI.  He also leaves behind his siblings, Mary (Dwayne) Babcock – Sister, Apollo Beach, FL, Susan (Craig) O’Connell– Sister, West Milford, NJ, Michael (Tabitha) Hertz – Brother, Riverview, FL. Rich had 2 grandsons (Nick and Ayden) as well as 3 nieces (Jessica, Amanda, Kira) and 3 nephews (Justin, Matthew and Kyle).

 Rich is predeceased by his wife Christine Hertz and his parents Richard and Joyce Hertz.

 His family will have a service on October 29th, 11am at Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon 19939 E Pennsylvania Ave Dunnellon, FL 34432 with a celebration of life afterward at Classic Oaks Villages Country Club 255 NW 40th Ave Ocala, FL 34482.
