In loving memory of Robert Todd Wright, who entered his eternal home on December 4th, 2023, at the age of 49. Born in Ocala, Florida on February 1, 1974, Robert leaves behind many cherished memories and a legacy of laughter.
He was preceded in death by his brother Stuart Neely. Robert is survived by many loved ones, including his son Wade (Bailey), his father Dale (Debbie), his mother Lee Anne Perry, his sisters Amanda and Kristie, Stuart's wife Karissa, and many more family and friends.
Robert, or "Rowdie" as friends called him, had an unparalleled zest for life. His congenial nature ensured that wherever he went, good times followed. In his youth, he was the life of the party, and the conductor of joyous moments. Raised in the heart of Florida, he embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm—hunting, fishing, and working cows with his dad on the ranch. His adventurous spirit knew no bounds, sometimes bordering on the edge of recklessness, yet always fueled by a passion for life.
For years, Robert climbed towers and even hundreds of feet in the air, he found a way to inject fun into his work, leaving behind stories that defy gravity. A true Florida State Seminole fan through and through, his unwavering loyalty was as high as the towers he once scaled. Eventually, he grounded himself, bringing his skills to Tidewater Trucking, where he worked alongside his brother Stuart as a mechanic. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his willingness to share his knowledge and skills with others.
When not conquering towering heights or fixing mechanical puzzles, Robert found joy in the art of smoking and cooking meats. A master of the grill, he took pride in his creations, delighting in showcasing and sharing his mouth watering masterpieces with anyone lucky enough to be at the receiving end of his generosity.
Beneath Robert's strong-willed, bull-headed exterior, beat a tender heart known only to those privileged enough to truly know him. His love for life, spiced with a unique personality and a dash of spunk, will be profoundly missed by family and friends alike. As we bid him farewell, we carry with us the echo of his trademark phrase: "Roger that!"
Until we meet again, Robert, rest easy knowing you are loved beyond measure.
