Virginia May (Scott) Hamilton, 95, of Dunnellon, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 6:45 A.M. She was born and raised on a farm in Ladoga Indiana, went to business college and was a secretary most of her life. Later she remarried and became office manager for her husband’s chiropractic office in Bunkie, La, where they retired together. She loved beautiful flowers, especially roses, loved animals, especially cats and enjoyed her many involvements with charities and community services in Bunkie. She also enjoyed her weekly luncheons at “The Dug Out” with ladies from church. She was a long-standing member of David Haas Memorial United Methodist.
Preceded by death are her parents, Lucille and Offie Scott, brother, Forest Allen, her son, Andrew Bruce and beloved husband, Dr. Louis Hamilton (“Doc”).
Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Rick Eggers, 5 grandchildren, David and Todd Hassie, Adriane and Andrew Beatty and April Standifer, niece and nephew, Janet and Jerry Scott and also 5 great grandchildren.
Her wishes were to be cremated in Dunnellon, Fl and laid to rest alongside her husband and son at Pythian Cemetery, in Bunkie, La., with no services.
