Ocala- William “Bill” King, 70, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2021, at his residence in Ocala, FL with his family by his side. He was born into this life on August 20, 1950, in Oceanside, Long Island, NY and was the son to the late, Ronald and Joan(Draper) King.
Bill grew up in Long Island, NY and attended Suffolk County Community College where he obtained his degree in Criminal Justice. In 1972, Bill moved to Ocala, FL and worked for the Ocala Police Department for thirty years retiring as a Lieutenant. He later worked with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a Bailiff for several years. Bill served and worshipped his Lord and Savior as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and helped maintain the church and grounds of Christ’s Church of Marion County. He was a member of the Elks Lodge#286 in Ocala, FL. Bill enjoyed fishing, traveling, and the great outdoors. He was a history buff and enjoyed visiting historical sites. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Patsy King, Ocala, FL; his two sons, Michael C. King, NC and Mark Kelly (Kara), Ocala, FL; his daughter, Michelle Partin (Fred), Ocala, FL; his brother, Dan King (Norma), NY; his three sisters, Lois Hnizdo (Frank), NY, Shirley Cheon (Anderson), TN, Cindy Sellars (Sonny) NC; his grandchildren, Will, Emma, Ryan, Abby, Charlie, Ethan and Sara.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Christ Church of Marion County: 6768 SW 80th St, Ocala, FL 34476. There will be a memorial visitation starting at 9:30 AM.
