Patricia (Sammons) Bannister

     Patricia Sammons Bannister passed away May 2nd, 2018 at the age of 58, following an extended illness. Surviving her is her husband of 21 years, John Samuel Bannister. She is also survived by her father and mother, Bernard Sammons, Sr. and Kathryn Williams Sammons. In addition she is survived by three sisters, Linda Sammons Flick, Sue Ann Sammons Maynard, Beverly Gail Sammons Weaver, and one brother, Bernard Sammons Junior. She also leaves 6 nephews, Matthew Flick, Stephen Maynard, Robbie Weaver, Tommy Sammons, Brett Weaver, and David Sammons, also three nieces, Marianne Flick, Amanda Maynard, and Charity Guimaraes. They all adored their ‘“Aunt Trisha”. Trisha had a special place in her heart for “all children”. She was joyous and fun-loving. A good example was her “Clown Ministry”. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one brother, infant Richard Allen Sammons. 

     Patricia was a cosmetologist working in Dunnellon, Florida for many years. She was loved by her family and friends more than words can express. While no longer in our presence, she will live in our hearts forever. Patricia loved the Lord with all her heart and was an inspiration to everyone she met. She will truly be missed. Her brother always said “She has a heart as big as a pickup truck”!

     Funeral services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home 19939 E. Pennsylvania Ave. Dunnellon, Florida 34432. Sunday, May 6th at 3:00 PM.
