Rusty suddenly left us on a beautiful, sunny day while continuing to improve his new home. He had just returned from many years in Oregon to reunite with his family here in Florida. He was passionate about his dogs, Ziva and Bubba, horseback riding, his family, and a good day’s work. He was an Army veteran, loved his country and always supported veteran causes. He will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida. He leaves behind his four children; Phil, Joe, Amber, and Dan along with ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, his brother Robert and sister Meg. He was preceded in death by his parent’s Beverly & Russell, and two grandsons Isaac & William.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Rusty’s memory to Special Operation Wounded Warriors and designate for Service Dogs. This service benefits veterans by providing service dogs to disabled vets and encompasses two groups that were dear to his heart.
