Glenn R. Norton

Glenn Richard Norton’s battle on this earth was done on Thursday, April 8, 2021. He left here at the age of 75 with a song in his heart for the love of God that he felt. Glenn was born into this life on March 25, 1946 in Miami, FL. He was the son of the late Robert E. Norton and Lillian (Frost). He moved to Ocala in 1973 and was a General Contractor in Marion County until 2008, he then retired and moved to Inglis, FL.

He is survived by Carolyn, his wife and soul mate of over forty-two years, of whom you never saw one without the other.

 He is a member of the Primitive Church of Jesus Christ in Inglis and also a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and just being outdoors, and also telling tall tales. Glenn loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Norton.

He is also survived by his sons, Richard Norton (Rebecca) Ocala and Todd Norton (MariAnne), Island Grove, FL; Steven Dixon (Kristi), Ocala; his brother, Brett Norton, Keystone Heights, FL; his sister, Judy Bruning, Keystone Heights, FL; his grandchildren, Cory, Tyler, Taylor, Madison, Kristy, Cameron, T.J., Hunter, Emilee and his great grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt and one boy on the way.

His passing is of great sorrow and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.  Though he is gone from this earth, his memory will not be forgotten.

There will be no funeral services only a public visitation on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 10 AM -12 noon at Roberts Funeral Home in Dunnellon.

In lieu of flower’s his family prefers memorial contributions to be made to the Primitive Church of Jesus Christ: 19371 SE 56TH CT INGLIS, FL 34449.
