We are very sad to announce the passing of a sweet soul, Henry Jackson Spivey at the age of 57. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Campbell, father Jack Spivey, his brother Tommy Spivey, wife YanHua Feng, daughters Jessica, Hannah and Li Wen. Also survived by his aunts Pat, Rosa Lee, Marty. He is also survived by his extended family his cousins Debbie Kirchhoff, Georgi Hubbard, Kenneth Clark, John Ellis, Patsy Ellis. Proceeded in death by his step father Russell Campbell, and step brothers Wayne and Steven Campbell.
Though his life was short, he had accomplished many things that we, as his family, are very proud of. He received a wrestling and football scholarships, he attended DeVry University. In his early 20's he became the youngest plant manager of a corrugated production plant. He remained plant manager for 16 years until he decided he wanted to be a carpenter like Jesus. With the full support of his family, he started his own carpentry business, this is where he found the most enjoyment because he was working with his hands.
When his step father became sick he relocated to Florida to help care for him, where he would remain the rest of his life. He spent his days fishing and exploring the wonders of Florida. One of his favorite adventures was traveling to China to marry his wife YinYua. He was able to spend two years in China, learning about the culture and enjoying the experience. YanHua and Jack continued their adventures back in the United States.
Overall, Jack had an adventurous life. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and kindness. He will be missed greatly by those who loved him.
Celebration of Life services will be held both in North Carolina and in China at a date to be determined.
