Judith Kindred

Judith Anderson Kindred, of Ocala Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 22, 2021.    

Judy was born on Christmas Day, 1937, the first child of Charles and Betty Anderson; she truly was a Christmas Gift from God!   She grew up in the small Mid-Western town of Mt. Pulaski, Illinois; Population, about 1100.  She was the oldest of 4 children, and had a wonderful family, with a younger sister and her two younger brothers.  Judy always had very fond memories of her childhood, her brothers and sisters, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and in her lovely little hometown. For those who truly knew her, there is ONE word that describes Judy, and her entire life; That word is LOVE.  It was “the love of God, shed abroad in her heart, by the Holy Spirit given unto her, that simply RADIATED from her.  Many of you have Experienced that Love from our Mom.  She truly “Let her light so shine before men, that they saw her good works and glorified her Father in Heaven.”   That’s what Judy did – She glorified God with her entire life. Judy went to college at Illinois State University at Normal, and got her teaching certificate, and in 1956 at the age of 19, Judy became an Elementary School Teacher for kindergarten through 3rd grade in Lincoln, IL.  She loved and doted over her students.  She would meet her little kindergarten students at the bus each morning and take them back to the bus each afternoon.  That’s how she met her husband, Thomas Kindred – he was the school bus driver!  They married January 2nd, 1960. Judy and Tom moved frequently in the first 20 years of their married life together, as Tom was frequently transferred to new locations throughout the Southeast in his career.  She would pack up the entire family, and move to a new town, a new state, and set up a new home, only to do it again a year later.  She always made friends quickly in each new location. They finally settled in Ocala, FL,  moved the family here in 1985, and founded T.T. Distributors, providing tack, supplements and horseshoes for the race horse community.  Tom did all the traveling and buying, and Mom stayed home to mind the store.  Mom worked tirelessly at the store, and at home.  She has 9 grandchildren, 3 great Grandchildren, and two  more on the way! They have been a huge part of her life, as she loved, adored, taught, and nurtured them. When Tom retired they bought a vacation home on The Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.  That was one of the happiest times in Judy’s life. They also travelled a lot during that time, going on many cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, and visiting the kids and grandkids.  It was a wonderful time in her life. Throughout her life, Mom fulfilled the Great Commission, as Jesus commanded us to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” She did it with her time and effort; sharing the Love of Jesus with everyone, and she did it with her money.  She did it without question, without thinking; it was natural for her, it is who she was. She was always helping people, loving them with all her heart. She gave, and gave, and gave for the propagation of the Gospel.  She supported pastors, missionaries, homeless ministries, prison ministries, homes for orphans and homes for single mothers, and Bible Societies.  She gave to feed and clothe the poor; both overseas and here in the US.  She gave without thinking, without hesitation, out of true and pure love for God and her fellow man. She gave with all her heart.  She trusted and obeyed God, not out of obligation, but out of Love. Judy has gone home now, she has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior, and she has heard Jesus say to her, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.”  God has “wiped away every tear from her eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.., Behold, I make all things new.”  Judy will now “Dwell in the House of the Lord Forever!”  and at this moment she is experiencing “Joy Unspeakable, Full of Glory!” God blessed Judy richly with His Love, His Joy, His Peace, and His Grace and Mercy, by the presence of His Holy Spirit, through His Son, Jesus Christ.  And everyone she knew experienced it through her.

Judy is survived by her children: Doug Kindred and Debra Barber of Ocala, Rodney Kindred of Pipe Creek, Texas, and her adopted daughter, Debbie Poiroux of Kirksey, Kentucky, and also her 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, as well as her two younger brothers, Kent Anderson of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, and Steve Anderson of California.
