Hardy Ward Wooten was born October 10, 1925 in St Augustine Fl.

He died Friday October 27, 2017 at Munroe Regional Medical Center.

Hardy was drafted into the United States Navy one year before his high school graduation where he served in World War II until April 1946. He then returned to graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in Physical Education. He worked at St. Petersburg high school until 1956 when he moved to the Rainbow River and began working at Dunnellon high school as the Drivers Education teacher until 1986 when he retired.

He is survived by his wife Gue Wooten of Dunnellon, son Tad (Karen) Wooten of Dunnellon, daughter Joy (Ron) Stephon of Ruskin FL, grandchildren Rebecca Wooten of Ocala, Virginia Stephon of Ruskin FL, Kyle (Heidi) Robinson of Dunnellon and Kali Robinson of Chicago, IL.

Visitation will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, November 1, then services at 11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Dunnellon.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
