Dunnellon- John “Jack” H. Schroeder, 85, died suddenly on Friday, July 22, 2016 just a few days before turning 86 years old. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Hans and Anna (Frederick) Schroeder on July 25, 1930. He was a US Navy Korean War Veteran.  Jack  married Marie(Greco) on January 20, 1951 and had two children, Stephen and Ronald  in whom they raised in New Jersey. After Jack Retired in 1995 from Hasbro Toys  in East Longmeadow, MA he and Marie made their home in Dunnellon. They Joined St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and he became very active in the Knights of Columbus and the Mens club. Jack’s love and his presence will be greatly missed. Besides his wife Marie and son Stephen he leaves behind his brother, Joseph Schroeder and his wife Marian, Port St. Lucie, FL; his sister, Barbara Schroeder, Bayonne, NJ; his eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son Ronald Schroeder and brother, Donald Schroeder.

Jack’s Family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 2-5 PM with a wake service and Ceremony with the Knights of Columbus Council #8510 at 4:30 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic followed by a repast meal in the hall.
