We'll miss you Momma on our fishing trips down the river. Your fishing pole will always remain in our boat...i may need to use it ...you alway caught a lot of fish on that cane pole. Thank you for being in my life and the joy and love you alway gave me. I will never forget how sweet your little giggles sounded .I guess i'll stop looking for that cowboy you requested me to find for you. We'll meet again one day on that beautiful shore. . With all my love
Michael

Lillie was the sweetest person I ever knew. I met her in 1968 right after she had her last child. She had 8 children worked at the family vegetable market everyday and cooked every meal from scratch. I was new to southern food and southern living so was amazed at her abilities. Every meal was a banquet and served with love. Plenty of sweet tea, biscuits, fresh veggies, meat, rice, and gravy. Lillie was able to do everything for everyone. Her children helped to take care of each other and were so sweet yes mam and no mam. They were so like their mom. Sweet and caring to each other and to my children and me. I was young, 22, and saw a woman who loved her life her family and all of her beautiful children without measure. Her demeanor was one that impressed me then and for my entire life. Her family is truly privileged to have had her as a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Sister-in-law and was a devoted Wife. Life on this earth is never easy but she never did anything except accept and make the best of all. I am truly Happy to have know such a Christian Woman and to know she lived her life< I am sure, as the Good Lord would have wanted.
